Decorative wall grilles are aesthetic elements in modern interior designing for homes

Decorative wall grilles are wall grills that are used along the walls for enhancing protective and decorative aesthetics of interior designing in homes. These are predominantly used for protecting wooden doors and windows, and also as a safety measure for homes. The wall grilles are generally made out of wrought iron items, which gives strength as well as designing element to the pieces. This is because; wrought iron can be molded into any shape or design as per the artists’ imagination.  These are used as a protection against any sort of opening like main entrance doors or large windows facing balconies and the like. These are used as

  • Photo frames
  • Wall candle stands
  • Beautiful artifacts
  • Wall mounted showpieces
  • Shelf like structures
  • Bedside tables

These add to the over all aesthetics of the space and structure to which these are connected for design purposes. Sometimes wall grill are also used for covering vents. At times along with functional purposes a wall grill is used just for aesthetic purposes also. Some people prefer wrought iron based furniture in their homes. Here decorative wall grilles match perfectly along with the wrought iron structures creating a perfectly blended story. The wall grilles are hung in such a manner that they compliment other items in the room like furniture, appliances and furnishing. This is done in tandem and in a symmetrical manner creating a blend of sorts, which describes the taste of the house owners. And at times smaller wall grills are mounted in clusters to form an interesting design pattern.

It is almost common for wall grills to be square or rectangular in shape. They mostly have solid borders along with scrollwork and designs within the borders. The designs inside the border are generally thinner and delicate, which generates a finer design outlook. It is like the bolder border is holding upright a delicate molded piece of fine art form. Sometimes, the design patterns also may not follow this standard rule. Some decorative wall grilles are large creating a focal point; some are small and represent any piece of art.

There are again various shapes like floral, butterfly, representation of God & scriptures that form the crux of the design of decorative wall grilles. These are generally of two types, antiques and modern designs, which are newly fabricated. Antiques are obviously more expensive depending on their size, rarity etc. they are mostly established pieces of designs or shapes.
